Levity Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 29, 2026

Levity ("we", "us", "our") makes a private, local-only sobriety tracker. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it's used, and your choices — in plain language.

The short version: your sobriety streak, journal entries, and craving logs never leave your device. There's no account, no login, and no cloud sync. We only receive anonymous technical and usage data, and you can turn that off entirely in Settings.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

Levity requires no account or sign-in. We do not collect your name, email address, or any other identifying information. The following stays stored only on your device and is never transmitted to us or anyone else:

2. Information We Do Collect

If you leave the "Share anonymous usage data" setting on (it's on by default, and can be switched off any time in Settings), the app sends:

If you purchase a subscription, payment is handled entirely by Apple or Google through their standard in-app purchase systems, coordinated by our subscription platform, RevenueCat. We never see or store your payment card details — Apple/Google process the transaction directly.

3. How We Use This Information

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data, and we do not use advertising networks. Anonymous technical/usage data is shared only with the service providers that process it on our behalf:

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our legal rights.

5. Data Storage & Security

Your journal, streak, and craving data live only in local storage on your device. We have no server or database that stores this information, and no way to access it. Anonymous analytics and crash data are stored by PostHog and Sentry under their own security practices, linked in section 4.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Since your personal sobriety data is stored only on your device, you control it directly: Settings → "Reset all data" permanently deletes everything from your device immediately. There is no account or server copy to separately delete. Anonymous analytics/crash events are retained by our providers according to their standard retention windows.

7. Your Choices

8. Children's Privacy

Levity is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

9. Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
